What’s the best streaming device to use?
While we’re sure you’re familiar with Amazons Fire TV Stick, there are other options as well.
After extensive use, we’ve found the Firestick to be, by far, the most stable; however…
Walmart recently released a new streaming device: the Onn Google TV Android 4K Streaming Device. This unit offers nearly everything that the Fire TV Stick does, but is MUCH easier to set up, is much more user-friendly, allows for the use of an app that we’ve found to be extremely user-friendly, and (best of all) sells for only $19.88!
Our parent streaming provider recommends the Smarters Player Pro for streaming the service; however, we highly recommend IPTV Streamer instead, as it’s so much easier to set up, is completely customizable, and is much better suited for our streaming service. The only problem odd, we cannot find a version of IPTV Streamer that will work with the Fire Stick. It does, however, work beautifully with the Onn Google TV Streaming Device!
We’ve been doing a side-by-side comparison test between the Fire TV Stick 4K with Alexa remote and the Onn Google TV Streaming device. After running both devices for a year now, we’ve found that both devices work equally well, but the Onn Google TV device is HALF the price of a Fire Stick, and the fact that you can use IPTV Streamer on it makes it our preferred streaming device for our service. With that said, we have found that the Fire stick tends to be more stable. Please note that this is merely our opinion, and the stability of service can be affected by a few different variables. Those variables include the actual speed of your Wi-Fi, as well as how much bandwidth is being utilized on your network by all connected devices.
We hope that this information has been helpful to you when it comes to deciding which way you wish to go with your equipment choices!
