Setting up fire tv stick
Thank you for purchasing the Fire TV Stick streaming device! Your new device is already pre-configured for your convenience; however, some apps may have to be reinstalled under YOUR Amazon account.
What do I need to do to complete the setup?
First, subscribe to a VPN service. The device already has SurfShark installed. If you choose to use SurfShark, all you need to do is to set up an account at their web site, and then log in to the app with your new credentials. If you select a different VPN service, you’ll need to install the app for that service and log into it prior to opening the streaming app.
• Connect the device to your TV and power outlet
• Follow the onscreen instructions to connect to your Wi-Fi.
• Go to the Apps heading in the menu and open the VPN app (you may have to reinstall this app); then sign in with your credentials, and connect to a United States server.
• If you find that you need to use Downloader, you will likely need to reinstall that before being able to download other apps requiring Downloader.
• Open the TiVi Mate app and allow it time to update. If it doesn’t start to update automatically.
• Click Live TV box, scroll down the left column until you see |NA| USA *** and select the category you desire. The next column will populate with all of the available channels in that category. To add a channel to your favorites, long click the channel and select Add to favorites.
• Click Left to return to the left column to select another category, and repeat these steps until you’ve selected all of your favorites.
• Once you’ve completed your favorites, go back to the TOP of the left column and click “Favorites”. All of your favorite channels will populate in the box to the right. When you click a channel, the video will appear in the video box on the right side. If you want to continue to search the channels, click Down to scroll to the next one you want to check and click OK. When you find the channel you want to watch, navigate to the video window and click OK to go full screen.
