Setting up the Onn streamer
Thank you for purchasing the Onn Google TV 4K Streaming Device. Your Onn device is already set up with everything you need for our service, pre-installed.
What do I need to do to complete the setup?
First, subscribe to a VPN service. The device already has NordVPN installed. This is the preferred VPN service of Pro-Stream IPTV. If you choose to use NordVPN, all you need to do is to set up an account at their web site (click the link below for a bonus offer), and then log in to the app with your new credentials. If you select a different VPN service, you’ll need to install the app for that service and log into it prior to opening the streaming app.
• Connect the device to your TV and power outlet
•In the menu, scroll to the Settings icon on the far right. select Network, and connect to your Wi-Fi.
•While in the Settings, go to Accounts and log into your own Google account, then delete the existing one used to set up the device.
• Go to the Apps heading in the menu and open the VPN app; then sign in with your credentials, and connect to a United States server.
• Open the IPTV Streamer app and allow it time to update.
• From the Main Menu, click the Favorite button, and then add a Favorite Playlist. If there will be more than one person adding favorites, you can add a Favorite Playlist for each person (Additionally, you can create separate Favorites Playlists by category). NOTE: Until Favorites are added to the additional Playlists, those Playlists will not appear as options under the Favorites button. Click the Back button.
• Click Live TV box, scroll down through the boxes until you see |NA| USA *** (you’ll find these a bit down the list just past the UK categories), and - to make things easier for everyone - begin moving the USA Category boxes to the top. This is done with a long click, and selecting MOVE. Once you’ve moved them to the top, you can begin adding favorite channels to your Favorites Playlist. Start by selecting the category. This will populate the list of all channels in that category. To add a channel to your favorites, long click the channel and select Copy to Playlist, then select the Favorites Playlist you with to copy it to.
• Click Back to return to the previous screen to select another category, and repeat these steps until you’ve selected all of your favorites.
• Once you’ve completed your favorites, go back to the Main Menu and click “Favorites”, and select the desired Playlist. All of your favorite channels will populate. With this list displayed, you can click the EPG button at the top right to display the Electronic Program Guide of your Favorites channels. Select the channel you wish to watch, and click the OK button on your remote. Choose “Watch this channel now” and your program will begin playing live.
